The Bumbles of Honeywood have overcome lots of challenges over the past year. They fought off the nasty hornets, then recovered from the awful Beezles pandemic. Straight after that came ‘Storm Suzy.’ To lift everyone’s spirits, Bella and Bobby decide to organise a Honeywood Festival of Fun! Barry Bumble and his worker bees are asked to build a theatre, and Bella Bumble writes a play for the minibeasts to act on the stage. She loves writing exciting, fun stories. Bobby loves to make things, so he’s in charge of making all the costumes. The little bees ask for help from their friends to make the Honeywood Festival of Fun a huge success.

Print off the places and encourage the children to place the creatures in their habitats. Look at the different places and think about what creatures would live there and why.

Print off the labels. Encourage the children to match the labels to the places, and think about why they placed the labels where they did.

Use this activity to look at habitats in more detail. Consider where animals live and the reasons they live there. The children will choose a minibeast that has taken their interest and create a profile for a minibeast habitat estate agent.

Use this lesson to learn all about habitats. Where animals live and why, and what creatures may live in a few different places. Use the cut out's to encourage the children to place the animals where they think that they live, and discuss why they would live there.
