Challenge the children to advertise Betsy's and Blue's fitness class. They will need to create a leaflet or poster in order to spread the word far and wide.

Use the picture cards to describe the image to a partner.

Children to place a soft toy on a square on the Bee Bot mat and give instructions for a partner to direct Bee Bot to reach the toy.

Children to recall the key events in the book 'Bumble Buzz'. Betsy and Blue organised a daily Bumble Buzz Fitness Class for all the bees in the hive to help them stay fit and healthy. Discuss with the children what keeping fit means.

Show the children the ‘Making a Bee Hotel’ instructions. In teams the children will design and make their own Bee Hotel. Once their design is complete the team will explore the playground and decide where they are going to build their Bee Hotel.

The Bumbles of Honeywood bees bring pollen and nectar they collect from flowers to turn into honey. Betsy and Blue have challenged the children to store the nectar into the honeycombs in as many different ways as possible.

In the story ‘Bella Bumble’s Waggle Dance’ Bella managed to find a safe, clean water supply for the bees which helped them get better. The bees want to celebrate Bella for her resilience and bravery, so they decide to have a party. Ask pupils to design and make a party hat to help them celebrate.
